If you have a sweet tooth, you will probably go head over heels for a delicious cannabutter caramel sauce. Although the most common edibles are brownies and cookies, you can virtually add cannabutter to anything and recreate your favorite recipes with a flavorful cannabis strain.

So, if you have plenty of time in your hands and you want to make an excellent topping for your apple pie or ice cream, get ready to make your own cannabutter caramel sauce.

Cannabutter Caramel Sauce Recipe

Equipo necesario

Medium-sized saucepan

Spatula or whisk

Mason jar with lid

Ingredientes

¼ cup water

1 cup granulated sugar

¾ cup heavy cream

½ cup cannabutter

1 teaspoon vanilla

½  teaspoon salt (or to taste)

Optional: ½ tablespoon vanilla extract

Desgranar la flor

In case you don’t have cannabutter, you can cook yours to make the caramel sauce. Although it takes time, it will definitely pay off, as you will use your favorite cannabis strains for this purpose. Pick your favorite cannabis flower and get to work.

Precaliente el horno a 250 F.

Grind your weed. For this purpose, you can use a grinder or your fingers.

We recommend using our KLIP since it will create a fine powder to make the process easier. Moreover, your ground weed will preserve its trichomes, enabling you to have a more powerful cannabutter.

Spread the ground flower on a baking sheet, creating a thin layer, and take it to the oven.

Bake for 45 minutes. Check on your ground cannabis flower from time to time and stir to allow every piece to cook evenly.

Cuando la flor esté dorada, sáquela del horno y déjela enfriar. Si se deshace fácilmente entre los dedos, está lista para usar.

Now that you have decarboxylated your flower, you can infuse it into butter. For this purpose, heat both the decarbed flower and your oil or butter for about 30-60 minutes. We suggest using unsalted butter for this particular recipe.

In your saucepan, heat the water and sugar over medium heat. Stir until the sugar has dissolved and the mix starts to bubble.

Add the heavy cream, salt, and cannabutter. Continue whisking for 8 minutes or until the sauce thickens. Be careful not to burn.

Once the mix has a beautiful amber color, remove it from heat and add the vanilla extract. Mix until all ingredients are incorporated.

Pour the mix into a mason jar. You can use a spatula to scrape all the sauce from the pan.

Place the cannabutter caramel sauce in the refrigerator. This will thicken it up.

Now that you have a delicious caramel sauce with cannabutter, you can taste the properties of cannabis in a sweet ice cream or with some apple slices. Make sure you don’t eat it up at once, or you will enjoy a long ride.
